NPR’s End of Privacy Series
Posted by Aaron Massey on 06 Jul 2010.
Last Fall, NPR did a four part series titled “The End of Privacy,” which serves as a decent introduction to several major privacy concerns:
- Part One: Online Data
- Part Two: Facebook
- Part Three: Cell Phones
- Part Four: Digital Records
In addition to the stories, NPR put together a brief timeline of privacy in American law.
Ironically, the story itself caused viewers to question NPR’s privacy policies regarding cookies, and NPR responded to listener concerns here. (Whether the listeners were satisfied with this response is a separate concern…)
Also of note: Julian Sanchez’s thoughts on the series at the Cato blog.
