Permanent Deletion

Smashing Magazine recently posted an extensive article about permanently deleting your account information from various websites.
We all have an increasing number of sites and online services we’re members of, and sometimes it all gets a little overwhelming. At times, we just need to delete our memberships to some sites, either in an effort to simplify our lives or just because we’ve grown tired of a particular site or service.
Although they focus on this from a web design standpoint (e.g. How should you design your own user management and deletion policies on the web?), this is certainly useful for the average person interested in privacy. Sites discussed: Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn, Google, Ebay, Wikipedia, Flickr/Yahoo!, Windows Live, StumbleUpon, WordPress, Amazon, YouTube, and PayPal.
